Time to Change the Record
Attorneys Joseph Warden and Robyn Traywick of Advocates for Basic Legal Equality, Inc. will present on the Medical Legal-Partnership for Children. The program addresses the Social Determinates of Health, as well as Adverse Childhood Events, including when parents are addicted and unable to care for their children. The MLPC joins legal aid attorneys and physicians, nurses, and social workers to determine when legal services can mitigate the negative effects on economically disadvantaged children and their families. By reducing or removing the negative factors, children and their families have increased opportunities to remedy social, racial, economic and health inequities.
